Hi there, The laptop I have been using to run The Carpet Estimator for the past five years has just given up the ghost. I have the parallel port style security key, but have noticed that many laptops these days do not have a parralel port on them. I have read in the security key section that you will under certain circumstances replace a key for a small charge. Is this possible in this situation?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Simply.... Yes.
For replacing a working key with a different "style" we charge £40 + VAT

Simply send your current key, plus payment, to us and we'll send you a replacement (Next Day Delivery).

If you want to pay by card, send us the key, then ring us with your card details.

Also read the notes on "**Returning a key" Here

Thanks for that, also when I get round to installing the software on my new laptop, where can I get the updates from? The disk I have is version 1.30.01. I downloaded several updates from the old website but cant find them since you have had the re-design.

The Updates are in a section which is only available to "Registered Users" of each Product.
When you sign up and supply a Valid Key Number and Postcode, the forum checks our customer database and makes you a "Registered User" of the appropriate products.
However, since you didn't supply a number, it hasn't been able to do that.

Here's what we'll do.
When we send you the replacement key, I'll add its number to your user, and make sure you have access to the appropriate sections...

The system will only accept the number if the postcode you enter matches our records... maybe its a problem with that.

If you send me a Private Message (Use the PM button below my user details) and include the key number you tried and your postcode, I'll check our records.
